Saving and backups

How SeedLab saves worlds and inventories, keeps checkpoints and restores progress. Find out what changes when you restore an older save.

Finish your session

SeedLab saves your world and player state automatically. Use /lobby to leave and let any saving or transfer message finish.

World and inventory stay together

A checkpoint contains the world and its matching inventory state. By default, SeedLab requests one roughly every 30 minutes and keeps five completed checkpoints. It also makes a final save when the world closes. A busy storage system can delay a checkpoint.

Open a saved world

Go to /worlds, select your world and wait for it to load. You return to that world's saved progress and inventory.

Restore an earlier checkpoint

Recovery is available independently of a paid rank in the default configuration. Read the recovery confirmation carefully: restoring a checkpoint brings back its world and player state, replacing later progress.

If a save or recovery is stuck, send /feedback with the world name and time of the problem. Leave reset and deletion for cases where you actually want to start over or remove the world.
